Hey Milwaukee dog owners!
Get the Obedient Dog of Your Dreams
You know that buying a puppy for your home can lead to many years of laughter and affection. In fact, many would consider a family dog like their own child. However, like any child, most dogs require almost constant supervision. And once you take your eyes off of them for a single moment, there is no telling what they may do, or what may happen to them.
Any responsible dog owner will do their best to keep them from harm, but what can you do when you cannot always be around to watch them all day? Just as you would with a child, you would want to teach them how to be more independent, more obedient, and most importantly, safer, when you are and aren’t home watching them.
You may not be able to ship your dog off of boarding school, but you can take them to one of the highest-rated dog training companies in the nation. Off-Leash K9 of Milwaukee helps dogs all across the nation become their best good boy, learning to leave behind bad behavior and replace it with the obedience that you need from them. In no time at all, you will never have to worry about leaving them alone, or leaving them around others.

We offer in-home Basic Obedience (4 lessons), in-home Basic and Advanced Obedience (8 lessons), a 2-week Board & Train, an 8-week Aggressive and Reactive Dog program, an 8-week Therapy Dog Preparation program, and group obedience classes at the Downtown Milwaukee Dog Park.
What does basic obedience training cover?
Basic Obedience is four private lessons at your home. Your dog learns come, sit, down, place, out (drop items), loose-leash walking, and off (stop jumping). The e-collar and leash are included. The 8-lesson Basic and Advanced package adds extended-distance obedience, heel, watch, through, front, and stand.
How does the 2-week Board & Train work?
Your dog stays with a professional trainer for two weeks. Training covers sit, place, heel, down, come, and off, plus handling distractions and greeting, door, and meal manners. Afterward you get a two-hour one-on-one session to learn what your dog knows and how to handle it. The program costs $3,150 and includes the e-collar and leash.
Do you train aggressive or reactive dogs?
Yes. Our Aggressive Dog Training program is eight lessons for dogs with aggression or reactivity toward other dogs. It includes basic obedience plus sessions working around other dogs, and costs $2,000. We cannot guarantee a complete fix for major behavior issues such as dog aggression or people aggression.
What is an e-collar, and does it hurt?
An e-collar is a remote-controlled collar that gives a mild pulse to get your dog’s attention, with control from up to 400 yards away. It is not meant as punishment. Our trainers demonstrate the stimulation on themselves first so you can see how mild it feels. The collar is not required indoors, but we recommend it outdoors when your dog is off leash. It works for dogs of any size or shape, from 5 months old.
How old does my puppy need to be to start training?
E-collar training generally starts at 5 months old. For puppies under 5 months, our trainers use clicker and treat methods and can teach house training. A clicker marks the exact moment your puppy does something right, and a treat follows.

Yes. Therapy Dog Preparation is an 8-week program for $2,000 that prepares your dog for therapy dog testing. When you complete it, the trainer can evaluate and certify the team through Therapy Pets Unlimited.

Yes. Introduction to Obedience is a 4-week group class held in the evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Downtown Milwaukee Dog Park. It costs $299. See the group class page for current dates.
